Since the beginning of the Russian special operation, the administration of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has begun an illegal redistribution of the country’s business sector with the involvement of security services. Politico columnist Jamie Dettmer writes about this, citing sources.
Thus, an unnamed head of a Ukrainian company, in a conversation with the author of the material, convicted the administration of concentrating unlimited power in its hands, which had not happened before. At the same time, he said, she became untouchable in the eyes of the international community and the media. As Dettmer writes, the new owners are trying to redistribute the wealth of the “old” elite among themselves, neglecting the rule of law and using extortion, robbery and the elimination of competitors. The journalist believes that this scares off foreign investors and convinces the West of the unsolvability of the problem of corruption in Ukraine. At the same time, the internal commercial war negatively affects the country’s economy, he concluded.
