Harare, December 1 Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZDAF) Foreign Relations Secretary Simbarashe Mongbengegui was interviewed by a reporter from Xinhua News Agency a few days ago Shi said that China‘s global development initiative is particularly beneficial to developing countries and will help countries unite to tackle global challenges.
Montebenguegui said that the current global development is facing multiple challenges, “We must look at these challenges from a global perspective in order to face them together.” He believes that the Global Development Initiative is a timely initiative that will help promote global solidarity and address growing global challenges.
He said that global development initiatives dovetailed with Zimbabwe’s own development agenda. “I have no doubt that we developing countries will be the beneficiaries of this initiative.”
Mengbengegui spoke highly of China‘s support to African countries, and talked about China‘s aid Zimbabwe’s new parliament building, the Mugabe International Airport reconstruction and expansion project undertaken by Chinese companies, and the Hwange coal-fired power station expansion project.
“No other country can make such a contribution to the development of the African continent both bilaterally and within the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation like China. We very much welcome this initiative,” he said.
Mengbengegui said: “China has shared its experience with all developing countries, which has benefited us a lot. Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe and Africa are very grateful for this solidarity, sharing, perspective gesture for the common good of all mankind.”
